What a stunning spring day at Historic Londontown and Gardens celebrating the marriage of Dr. and Mrs. Oppong! Sarah and Emmanuel are two of the kindest people you will ever meet and it was such a joy getting to be a part of their wedding day!
We started out the day at a hotel where everyone was hanging out and chatting. Hair and makeup had just wrapped up and you could feel the excitement in the air for all the things to come! After photographing the details and some fun PJ portraits, we packed up and headed over to Historic Londontown.
For their first look we chose a quiet secluded area of the gardens that also offered a good view for friends and family to watch. As Sarah approached, you could see the biggest smile from Emmanuel as he patiently waited for her to call for him to turn around!
After lots and lots of portraits, we prepared for the ceremony. I think everyone in attendance got a little misty eyed as Sarah walked proudly down the aisle, arm in arm with her parents. Emmanuel’s reaction to seeing her as she slowly approached him was so sweet and genuine! Their vows to each other were so heartfelt, but my particular favorite promise was from Emmanuel, who promised to always watch 90 Day Fiancé with Sarah. (As a fellow 90 Day fan, if that’s not true love I don’t know what is!)
After the ceremony, cocktail hour kicked off with a bang! The couple had signature spicy margaritas available, along with several other tasty beverages and hors d’oeuvres. One of my favorite moments of the day was watching all of their guests cheer and celebrate as they entered into cocktail hour.
After cocktail hour and dinner it was PARTY TIME! This dance floor was one of the most active i’ve ever seen! The party especially took off when Sarah and Emmanuel re-entered in their traditional Ghana wedding attire which was beautiful! The DJ had everyone movin’ and groovin’ so much so that the floor was shaking!
As the party concluded, we headed outside for a quick bubble send off. It was a fantastic way to end such a perfect day!
