I am not a morning person. But, you bet your butt i’m willing to drag myself out of my nice comfy bed when I get to photograph a beautiful Gettysburg sunrise engagement session! Fall is my absolute busiest time of year, because those colors just can’t be rivaled. Nicole knew for sure she wanted to get those gorgeous fall colors in her photos, so she and Aren were willing to brave the early morning cold to make it happen. It was a crisp 17 degrees for our session, so they really were troopers!
We started off at Sach’s Bridge, which is a very popular location pretty much all year round. But, with us choosing a sunrise session we got lucky and had the place to ourselves! Nicole and Aren were so sweet, and I loved seeing them interact, and Aren being ever the gentlemen trying to help keep Nicole warm in the off moments when we weren’t shooting.
From there, we headed over to a beautiful area of the Battlefields to finish up our session. We were so lucky to get such amazing golden hour light! That hour after the sun rises and before the sun sets is pure magic!
I loved getting to know Nicole and Aren a bit more, and hearing about their wedding. These two are getting married in August at The Lodges in Gettysburg, so look out for their wedding photos!
