Happy Friday everyone! I’m thrilled to be sharing Kristen and Patrick’s Morningside Inn wedding on the blog today! These two were so much fun to get to know in the days leading up to their wedding. I loved hearing about how these two met, way back when they were just 13 years old in middle school! You can tell just by being around these two that they’re meant to be together. They are both fun and outgoing, and compliment each other so well!
These two tied the knot at the beautiful Morningside Inn, in Fredrick MD. I arrived just after the girls did, and documented as they got to work getting ready! When you’re hanging out with your ladies prepping for a big event, obviously you need good music! These girls had the perfect 90’s-00’s playlist to get them amped up and ready to go! I mean, you know when you hear Wannabe by the Spice Girls come on that it’s going to be a good day.
Kristen and Patrick opted to not have a first look. Instead, we chose to have her and her father do a first look instead. It was such a pure and beautiful moment between these two! You could tell how much of a proud papa he was, and how much he loves his little girl. (I’ll admit it, I teared up! If you hire me as your photographer there is a 99.9% chance i’ll cry at your wedding. I’m a sap, what can I say!)
I also took some time to go visit the guys as they were preparing. As you can imagine they were having a grand ol’ time! I love the photo of them with their beers. We decided we’re definitely going to sell the photo as an advertisement for Corona since they’re such a strapping group of gents!
The ceremony was simple yet elegant. These two did a wine boxing, which I thought was an amazing idea! The concept is that whenever marital trouble arises, these two will open up the box and discuss their struggles while sharing the wine. If no occasion to un-box the wine occurs, the couple will open it and share the bottle on their 5 year anniversary, and replace it with a new bottle of wine to be opened in the next 5 years!
Once the reception began, it was time to party! This was a dancin’ group, and almost everyone headed out to the floor to get their groove on! (Even the guest with a broken foot couldn’t resist breaking it down!)
As the night wound to a close, Kristen and Patrick left the venue with a bubble exit! They had a towncar waiting for them, and off they went to spend the night at the hotel they spend every anniversary at. It was a lovely wedding, and i’m so honored to have been there to capture it.
