KATE + MATT – NAYLOR’S WINERY WEDDING

I have been lucky enough in my years as a wedding photographer to have some pretty amazing clients. All my brides and grooms have been so friendly and warm! But, I knew from the first moment that I met Kate and Matt that these two weren’t going to just be friendly clients, they were so much more than that! Their Naylor’s Winery wedding was absolutely perfect.

I met these two a few years ago when Kate got in contact with me to photograph some family photos of her and her sister, along with their boyfriends and their family dog. (RIP Snuget <3) She was referred my way by a mutual friend and when the day of our session finally came, it was such a blast! I loved getting to know both Kate and Matt, along with her sister Tina and her boyfriend George.

Not too long after that session, Matt and Kate got engaged! She booked me for the wedding almost immediately, and was the very first solo wedding I booked after some time spend second shooting to gain experience. These two will always hold a special place with me as the first couple to trust in my for their special day!

The day of the wedding finally came, and honestly it felt like I was spending the day celebrating with friends, rather than working! I arrived at the house where the girls were getting ready and it was just fun to spend time with them and watch Kate prepare for her wedding day. All of Kate’s details were beautiful, and she’s clearly a smart lady opting for Toms over traditional heels. Comfort outweighs everything else on your wedding day!

The ceremony was short and sweet, and thankfully we were able to get in all the important family and bridal party photos before the crazy monsoon hit! These guys got the best of both worlds. They got rain on their wedding day (good luck!) but it came at the perfect time and didn’t interfere with anything! The speeches at this wedding were some of the best i’ve ever heard. It’s clear that Kate and her sister Tina have an amazing sister bond, and Tina had the whole crowd in tears with her speech, myself included!

I loved getting to spend the day with Kate and Matt, and I know they have a lifetime of love and happiness ahead of them. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two!
