I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful this wedding was with Kiersti and Chris at The Links at Gettysburg.
From the very beginning, Kiersti and Chris felt like friends, rather than clients. They made myself, and every other guest at this intimate wedding feel so welcome! The Links at Gettysburg was the perfect setting for this sweet, intimate wedding.
The story of how I came into contact with this lovely couple is entertaining to tell. My husband and I love our bank. While we were sitting down last year with a banker to go over possibly changing over our car loan, the topic of me being a photographer came up casually. Once I told Cindy I was a photographer, she got so excited! She told me how her daughter was getting married in October and in search of a photographer. I gave her my card, and was excited to hear more from the couple.
Well, low and behold, Chris happened to walk into the bank 5 minutes later to drop something off. As he was leaving, Cindy remembered that she had my business card, and she jumped up and chased Chris out into the parking lot to make sure he got one!!
As soon as I met Kiersti and Chris officially a few days later, it was clear to me that I wanted to be the one to capture their special day.
I loved that these two chose to go small, and intimate for their special day at The Links in Gettysburg. It was clear that family is something incredibly important to them both, having elected to each have their younger sibling be their maid of honor/best man. The outdoor ceremony was so beautiful, and there wasn’t a dry eye there! Choosing to write their own vows, everyone listening that day knew without a doubt that Kiersti and Chris were meant to be together.
The reception was where we got to see their personalities shine! These two are SO MUCH FUN! There was lots of laughter, dancing, and just general merriment. It was an honor that Kiersti and Chris chose me to document this special day. It is one that will be at the top of my list of favorites for a long time!
