Samantha and Matt’s Brogue PA Engagement Session was the best way to end a wonderful Easter weekend! We figured they were going to be dressed up anyway, so why not?! Also, we got SO lucky that this was the first really warm spring weekend. We could not have asked for better weather with upper 70’s temperatures and a nice cool breeze!
I traveled to meet Samantha and Matt on Sunday evening at Matt’s family farm. It is a stunning area up atop a big mountain in Brogue, PA. Matt’s family own several houses close together up there! I think it must be so nice to have so much family within walking distance! We walked around exploring while they showed me the different areas of the property. I really loved that they chose this for the location of their session. I think it added the perfect personal touch to the photos!
We started our session in that gorgeous field of purple thistles. Samantha had sent me photos of it beforehand, and I knew that field was going to look so pretty as the backdrop of this session! These two also thought ahead and brought up that amazing white wicker bench! We had so many different scenic options on the property, so we tried a little bit of everything. The open field, the old barns, the blooming pear tree, and the old rusty tractor were just some of the many options we utilized.
I had a wonderful time just casually exploring and getting to know these two. They are some of the most genuine, nicest people i’ve gotten to work with in my time as a photographer. I’ve been very fortunate in my years as a photographer to get to know so many amazing people like them! I know their September wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful, and I can’t wait to photograph it!
