Our session for The Lippy Family at Codorus PA was perfection!
I was a little skeptical about a sunrise session at Codorus when Dustin suggested it. To start, i’m totally NOT a morning person. A 6am start is not my idea of a good time. I am also used to shooting later in the day, so I was a little unsure of what to expect in terms of lighting. But, I decided to be a trooper and drag my butt outta bed.
Well, i’m glad I decided to go out of my comfort zone because sunrise sessions seem to be my new favorite thing!! That beautiful golden light was seriously to die for! Not to mention that these guys are the just the cutest family ever. I love everything about this session. From the family, to the lighting, to the real moments they are sharing.
Dustin is a fellow photographer, so his house is full of beautiful photos of his wife and 2 children. However, what was lacking were photos that included him! So our focus for this session was to capture some group shots of the whole family, but to really focus on some quality daddy/son bonding moments. Dustin is such a good dad, he’s so hands on with both of his boys. It was so easy to photograph these guys because everything was just so genuine! Both him and Liz are amazing parents, these boys are so lucky.
As a Hanover native, I surprisingly have not been utilizing Codorus for many of my photo sessions. It was nice to be able to explore the area with Dustin, who shoots there regularly. We also got so lucky with those amazing fall colors! This year was very hit or miss in terms fall foliage. Thankfully we managed to schedule our session on just the right weekend.
