I had so much fun doing this shoot!
After getting your pictures done, one of the things that can be tough is deciding how and where to display them. Here are some helpful hints and styles for hanging your pictures.
1.) Cut paper to the sizes of your frames, to see how it looks before you hang them.
2.) Use a level! This one is pretty self explanatory.
3.) Hang the largest photo in the room first. The largest picture will likely be the main focal point in the room, so decide upon its placement first, clustering all of the other ones around it to ensure that the picture collection looks cohesive.
4.) When hanging multiple pictures make sure the frames either coordinate or complement each other. A simple black frame will look out of place next to a chunky ornate gold frame.
Here are some good examples of pictures being hung in different, yet aesthetically pleasing styles.
I’m so excited that Samantha Jean Photography is officially up and running! First and foremost I have to thank Tawni from http://www.foreverdesignstudio.com for the wonderful website design. She did a fantastic job and I think it reflects my personality and style incredibly well. Anyone who needs a website done should go to her.
I’m very happy to report that as of today i’ve booked a wedding for this weekend, and one in April; Also a Senior Portrait session TBD. Not too shabby for a days work! I am in the process of getting my business cards printed, and working on some other miscellaneous promotional materials as well. As soon as we hit 300 fans on facebook (As of 8:30pm on September 13th 2011 we are at 235!) I will be offering a session for FREE! I will also be offering promotional coupons for different packages sometime in the future.
That’s all I have to report for today but hopefully soon I will have more. I am very, very hopeful about the future.
